Scope of Work

100% of the masonry/façade scope: tuckpointing, brick replacement, parapet and coping repair, chemical and water-based façade cleaning, water-repellent application, sealants and caulking, lintel and shelf-angle work.

Project Overview

Carefree Construction is performing 100% of the brick façade cleaning and repair scope as a subcontractor to the Prime Contractor, J & J Mechanical and Construction Group, LLC. Carefree is providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and supervision to execute work on all buildings at the Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Campus.

The project scope encompasses comprehensive masonry repairs, including tuckpointing, brick replacement, parapet and coping repair, chemical and water-based façade cleaning, water-repellent application, sealants and caulking, and lintel and shelf-angle work. All operations are conducted in accordance with the VA's scope of work, specifications, and drawings.

Logistical execution involves swing-stage, supported scaffold, and mast-climber operations to safely access the exterior on an active VA campus. Quantities include 14,000 SF of façade cleaned, alongside extensive repointing and brick replacement. The project carries a $10,500,000 scope value and a 400-calendar day period of performance.
